how do i watch jeremyflix????

jeremyflix is a private media streaming service hosted by *me*
you can get an account from me by request. if you don't know who me is, you cannot get an account

jf-logojellyfin - watch.backwardswimmingfish.com

jellyfin is the main streaming application. this is where you actually browse the library and watch content. you do not need to install any app to access this as the website is fully featured and will play on any web browser on any device

js-logojellyseer - discover.backwardswimmingfish.com

jellyseer is a separate application that acts as a content browser and requesting service. you can search for and request media, that i have to manually approve - this may change when i get more storage. if you request a series that has already completed (no new episodes being released), contact me so i can get you the best quality release

app setup

in all apps the setup tends to be the same. basically, for the server url use
https://watch.backwardswimmingfish.com

  • NOTE: make sure you have the "s" at the end of http. sometimes http:// will be in the text box by default and just adding watch.backwardswimmingfish.com to the end will not work. if you are failing to connect, double check this.

the server should show the name GANON, but you can usually rename this to whatever. login with the login i gave you (id suggest logged in via browser and changing your password)

using quick connect

quick connect is a way of logging into your account without having to type your username and password. this requires a device that is already logged in

  1. on the device you are trying to log into, click the "quick connect" button and note the code
  2. on a device you are logged into, go to the quick connect page (on browser-like apps, this is in the left hand menu -> settings -> quick connect)
  3. enter the quick connect code and hit authorize

recommended apps (best -> not best)

    ios

  • swiftfin

the overall best fully-free option with the most "native" feel. it is an open source ios/tvos only jellyfin client written in swift (obviously). it recently just got a big overhaul update and has just about every feature you'd need. i'd highly suggest going into the gesture setup options and setting custom gestures i.e. swipe up/down on left side to adjust brightness

  • vidhub

vidhub is a sometimes paid option(??) for ios/tvos/macos that in general seems to be the fastest and most stable option. if it lets you use it for free, i'd recommended. it is by a chinese developer so maybe read the privacy policy... IANAL. definitely suggested for macos

  • jellyfin mobile

finally the official mobile client. it's the official client and naturally ugly as fuck. is effectively the website in app form. works fine, will play your content. is in general missing the niceties you'd want from a mobile experience

  • desktop

  • jellyfin media player

there aren't really many decent options out there for desktop clients, so i can only suggest this one (unless on macos, then see vidhub above). again mainly a website wrapper, mostly works fine although it tends to never load thumbnails properly (they will be blurry) but maybe that was fixed. tends to be more stable than the website via web browser

  • smart tv

note: your phone can cast to most smart tv's from any of the ios apps, without needing a dedicated app on the tv itself

  • jellyfin (webos/roku)

jellyfin, for your lg tv! looks and works just like the website. highly recommended if you don't have an apple tv. there is a roku version that exists, i'm pretty sure i have tried it in the past - works just fine.

  • android

  • idk im not poor, sorry
